Employee Recognition Walls & Photo Displays
Celebrate the people who built your organization with a recognition wall designed around your team, your space and your brand. We design, fabricate and ship custom employee photo walls, walls of fame, leadership boards and award displays to organizations across the country — from eight-person displays to hundred-person installations.
What an employee recognition wall does
A recognition wall turns a blank lobby or hallway into a statement about what your organization values. It tells visitors who leads the company. It shows new hires that good work gets noticed. And it gives your current team something to aim for.
The displays that work best do three things at once: honor specific people, carry your brand identity, and stay easy to update as your team changes. Every display we build is designed with all three in mind from the first sketch.
Types of recognition displays we build
Employee of the month and award displays. Rotating recognition for top performers, with changeable photo and nameplate panels so the display stays current month after month.
Board of directors and leadership walls. Portrait-style displays that introduce your leadership to visitors and staff. Built to be expandable, because leadership changes.
Walls of fame and honor walls. Long-term recognition for people whose contribution outlasts their tenure — founders, retirees, medal recipients, hall of fame inductees.
Full-staff photo walls. Displays that feature everyone, organized by department or team, sized to your headcount with room to grow.
Years of service displays. Tribute to longevity, with tiered panels that recognize milestone anniversaries.
Company values and mission displays. Get your values out of the handbook and onto the wall, using printed graphics, dimensional text and display boards. See company values displays.
Employee photo wall options
Most of the design decisions on a photo wall come down to four choices.
Size and layout. Some boards feature six people. Others run as a series of panels with twenty or more per board. Your headcount, your available wall, and whether you are recognizing everyone or a specific group determine the layout. We have built displays for teams of eight and teams of a hundred.
Backer material. The core of the display is rarely visible, so it is a place to manage budget without affecting appearance. High-caliber foams cost less than traditional woods and cut shipping weight substantially — a real factor on a large display headed across the country. Wood and metal remain available where the application calls for them.
Face finish. A brushed metallic face catches more attention than a flat matte finish and reads as more formal. Many of our best displays combine both — a brushed header over matte panels, or the reverse.
Photo holders. Bent acrylic frames mount flush to the board and let photos slide in and out in seconds. Frames on aluminum standoffs sit an inch off the surface and create depth and shadow. Neither is more correct; they suit different budgets and different rooms.
Built to be updated
A recognition display that cannot be updated becomes a problem within a year. People get promoted, retire and join. Award winners change monthly.
We design for that from the start. Photo panels are interchangeable. Photo inserts print on easily changeable film. Nameplates are adjustable. On the display we built for the Bonner Springs Police Department, we included forty changeable 5″ x 7″ photo frames and left room for the force to grow into it — because they told us they expected to.
If your display needs to expand later, say so early. Designing for expansion at the start costs far less than retrofitting it afterward.
Putting your brand on the wall
Your logo, placed dimensionally on the header or applied as vinyl graphics. Dimensional logos physically stand off the wall and draw the eye to the display.
Your exact brand colors. We run our own Matthews Paint mixing station in-house, so we match your identity colors precisely rather than approximating them from a stock chart.
Your mission statement or values, worked into the header or a dedicated panel, so the display says why the work matters and not just who did it.
How we build them
Everything happens under one roof, which is why we can match colors accurately and hold a schedule.
- CNC routing for dimensional letters, logos and PVC trim components
- Laser cutting for acrylic lettering and fine detail a router cannot hold
- Matthews Paint System for precise, durable, color-accurate finishes
- Full fabrication and assembly, including laminates, standoffs and trim
- Graphic design, whether you send print-ready artwork or start from scratch
- Double cleat and MBS standoff mounting for secure, clean installation
Because we manufacture our own dimensional lettering rather than outsourcing it, we control the whole process and the timeline that goes with it.
Recognition walls we have built
Grant Memorial Hospital — an employee recognition wall with a 1½-inch backer in blue and brushed aluminum Formica laminate, laser-cut acrylic header lettering, and painted backplates highlighting each monthly award in the hospital brand colors.
Bonner Springs Police Department, Kansas — a full-staff photo wall with laser-cut dimensional letters and the department logo on a brushed metal backer, forty changeable photo frames, and room for the department to grow. Packaged and shipped for local installation.
Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington DC — a multilayer photo wall honoring Honor Guard top performers, with PVC boards finished in brushed aluminum laminate, team logos second-surface printed on clear acrylic, and knock-out lettering revealing the brushed metal beneath.
Lejeune Naval Hospital Center, North Carolina — a leadership display honoring Navy Medicine commanders and Command Award recipients, built on MDO plywood with genuine brushed aluminum laminate, interchangeable acrylic photo panels on MBS standoffs, and CNC-routed dimensional lettering.

What happens after you reach out
- Tell us what you are recognizing — how many people, what kind of recognition, and how often it changes.
- Send your wall dimensions and a photo of the space, plus your logo and brand colors if you have them.
- We design and quote. You will see a proof before anything is fabricated.
- We build it in-house and either ship it to you with installation instructions or arrange contract installation through our national partner network.
You do not need finished artwork or a completed design to start the conversation. Most clients come to us with a wall and an idea.
Nationwide services including packing, shipping, and installation are always available.
Common questions
How many people can a recognition wall hold?
We have built displays for as few as eight people and as many as a hundred. Larger programs typically run as a series of coordinated boards rather than one oversized panel.
Can we update it ourselves?
Yes. Photo panels, printed inserts and nameplates are all designed to be swapped by your own staff without tools or a service call.
Do you install, or do we?
Either. We ship nationwide with installation instructions for your facilities team, and we can arrange contract installation in most metro areas through our partner network.
How much does an employee recognition wall cost?
It depends on size, materials and photo count more than anything else. Backer material and photo-holder style are usually the two biggest levers. Send us your wall dimensions and headcount and we will quote it.
What do you need from us to start?
Wall dimensions, roughly how many people you are featuring, and your logo. Everything else we can work out together.
